The Survivor's Path

Portrait of Ron Carter

As a 19-year-old U.S. Army recruit, Ron Carter was assaulted by a non-commissioned officer. He did not report it. Untreated PTSD followed him for decades.

He wrote The Monster Inside of Me to reach MST survivors who never come forward, especially men, and to reduce veteran suicide. His mission is clear: awareness, portable records, and accountability (BARES), and pointing survivors to help.

Author

The Monster Inside of Me gives survivors, especially men who rarely come forward, language for what happened to them and a path through it.

From Survivor to Guide

Untreated trauma cost Ron decades. Today his work is making sure it costs other survivors less. Three ways he shows up for that mission now.

Coach

One-on-one and small-group coaching for MST survivors and veterans rebuilding purpose after trauma. Ron draws on his own recovery to help others move from surviving to leading.
